Mixing & Mastering

Mixing & Mastering Music Course | Nashville

The art of producing a master quality mix is taught in our 36-hour Mixing and Mastering Music course at our professional recording and mixing studio by a Grammy-winning engineer/instructor. Many mixes lack the clarity, depth and punch that is needed to stand out. Moving beyond the basics and learning the skills to refine your sounds using classic mixing techniques as well as industry insider methods, we’ll take your music to a new standard. The course has been developed by the incredibly talented roster of instructors, which include Grammy award-winning sound engineers. Regardless of your DAW choice, our small class sizes allow for instructors to work with each skill level to teach the core skills of making your music sound brilliant!

For this course we require you to have Fabfilter software installed on your laptop, and all Garnish learners qualify for a 40% discount. If you prefer to use a studio iMac with the required software already loaded, we have a limited number available for $75 per course. Controller keyboards, headphones, and audio interfaces are provided for all learners.

If you miss a session and you’d like to catch it up, or you’d just like to come back and repeat some or all of your course, you can do, free of charge, normally on your first choice cycle. Our door is always open for our former learners.

    Testimonials

The instructor was amazing. To be able to learn mixing and mastering in 36 hours is unbelievable!

    COG

I have taken about 3 mixing courses online and learned something from each. This by far was the most helpful because it tied everything together and having a hands-on approach is the best. The instructor was super enthusiastic and patient as well. For the price and being a one week full session, nothing else compares.

Darryl Swann. Enough said. He is a passionate, humble, experienced, and incredible human. He would help any of his students in anyway he could and he loves teaching. We now work together outside of Garnish and I couldn't be happier to have connected with him through Garnish.

    Patrick McCutcheon

I came into the class with a good understanding of my DAW (Logic Pro X course here at Garnish) but minimal knowledge of mixing/mastering. I thought the class was a great supplement to the knowledge I gained from the Logic Pro X course. I never felt lost, and now know how to achieve a clean mix and master.

Even though I already know about mixing and mastering, being here gave me a different (in a good way) concept of the knowledge that I already have. Also I learned a lot of new things about mixing and mastering, that will definitely help in my career as a Music Producer.

I've been producing music for 15-20 years and even have a recording arts degree. The instructors were absolutely amazing and helped me grasp mixing and mastering in a very relatable down to earth way. I feel like my production has finally taken the step up it needed. Loved the class and would love to take more courses at Garnish. Great learning

Instructors are well-experienced and can speak from tremendous amounts of real-world experience. They are also very passionate - not just about music and working in the industry, but they are passionate about teaching and getting the students the best learning experience possible. This makes a big difference in how successful the course is for the students… We were also able to get a lot of detailed and hands-on work - which was very
