Johnnie Truesdale

Johnnie Truesdale is a GRAMMY® Award-winning Engineer/Producer. He grew up outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and started playing guitar at 16. At 20, he joined the military (Air Force). This is where he began his technical knowledge and recording things on the side. After the military, he continued recording local bands in Boston, while going to computer school. He worked with computers for eight years then decided to pursue recording. After sound engineering, school, he went to work at Bennett Studios in Englewood, New Jersey, working with artists including Steve Martin, Tony Bennett, Harry Belafonte, Anita Baker, Ravi Coltrane, John Patitucci, and Andy LaVerne. As well as producers including Phil Ramone and John McEwen. In 2011, He moved to Los Angeles and started teaching at SAE Institute, then in 2016, he relocated to Nashville to build the Firefly Sound Studio.
